A Message from the MPI Board of Directors

The Maritime Pilots Institute is a Louisiana-based non-profit training service organization created by pilots, for pilots. The MPI is owned by pilots and has the mission of providing world-class training, education, support and services to the professional maritime State pilotage community. Through innovative partnerships and professional training systems, MPI programs and services enhance the ability of State pilots to protect the environment, foster safe navigation and protect the life and property of the State.
